Raceway Ministries
Liberty Baptist is blessed to be located
within a few miles of Bristol Motor Speedway and is excited
about being a part of the Raceway Ministries evangelism.
Twice each year, once in the spring and again in the fall, Bristol is greeted by
thousands and thousands of NASCAR fans from throughout the nation. They
come with the most cherished tickets in all of sports... tickets to see the
world's fastest racers on the world's fastest track, the half mile oval at
Bristol Motor Speedway. And twice each year, Liberty has the opportunity to
minister to these visitors and tell them about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Liberty's home during the races is located in the Thunder Valley Campground.
Inside the campground we set up a tent and serve cookies, popcorn, coffee, and
water. We also hand out lots of literature including race schedules, Bibles and
other ministry materials.
We also use this as our home base for our race weekend worship services, which
include singing and messages from God's word.
