AWANA
Welcome Our New 2009 AWANA Commanders....
AWANA Clubs are an important part of the
youth ministries at Liberty. Each Sunday evening at 6:15, the clubs meet
in the Multi Purpose Center (MPC) for the AWANA flag ceremony, which
includes pledges to the flags, prayer, offering, and any special
announcements or activities.
After the flag ceremony is when the fun really starts! The clubbers
spend the rest of the evening learning bible verses and principles in
class, competing in practice for the AWANA Games, and other activities
that keep them busy having a good time. It's amazing what our children
accomplish each year in the short time that they gather for AWANA, but
the real work doesn't just happen on Sunday evenings... the kids spend
lots of time each week memorizing scriptures. Our hats are off to each
of these wonderful clubbers for all of their hard work.
Competitions & Awards
Everyone at Liberty is proud of our kids for working hard to prepare for
Bible Quizzing and Games. Our clubs all did great in quizzing this year
and also brought home two first place banners... they were the Boys and
Girls Champions for AWANA Games in our Region this year! Congratulations
to everyone, and thanks to God for blessing our clubs so richly.
